CUSTOMER SERVICE INSPECTIONS

Enviornmental concerns seem to grow daily. Regulating agencies can come up with more rules, regulations and requirements than you can shake a stick at. We all know they are needed, but it still makes it tough sometimes.

The Texas Commission on Enviornmental Quality (TCEQ) requires the District to perform CSI (Customer Service Inspections) on every new plumbing job. And, that test has to be kept on record indefinitely and inspected by TCEQ annually.

This requires a lot of manpower with the current rate of growth and the renovations taking place in District #6.

The pictures below are actual photos of our Inspectors performing these inspections.

Gayle Scheigg, Code Enforcement Officer, inspects plumbing in a new home foundation prep.

She is not holding a Marlboro cigarette, she is showing the swab used and the results indicating no lead.

Once the fixtures are in place the Inspectors return to check things out.

Even the pipes that nobody drinks out of are checked to assure there is no contamination in the system at all.
